Pembro/Shelbrooke (variations of)
I am trying to trace anyone with the surname PEMBRO or SHELBROOKE who lives either in the U.K. or anywhere worldwide. I have got a list of the 11 family's of Pembro's on the electoral register which I have had for a while and also 6 Shelbrooke's which are listed in the telephone directory. I really need something more but what? My G/Grandfather has brothers that went to war and they have/had families so where have they all gone? I also know there is 1 Pembro in Australia and am awaiting a reply from them. My Grandparents and Great grand parents were from the Bridgnorth Shropshire region and the Lydney area of Gloucester. I have got some info on soundalikes eg: Shalbroke, Shulbrook, and Shelbrook which go back to 1598 & 1601 but the most recent record for them is the 1800's. I need them to be exact matches to Shelbrook or Shelbrooke or Shalbrooke as possible. Can anyone give me any more help as to where anymore were or are now or website links I can try. I have tried Ancestry.com and Roots web etc.. Thanks for any help given in advance, Elaine.

Alexander / Weekes / Doughty
It is my great grandmother Hannah Alexander whom I am interested in,she had six sisters and two brothers so the offspring of those people must be around somewhere. They came from Warter in Yorkshire with possible contacts back to Whitby. The children were christened in either Warter or Pocklington. Hannah was born on 17 April 1843 in Warter, her mother was Hannah, maiden name Doughty, her father was John.

Hannahs siblings in order were: Zillah 1841, Hannah 1843, Elizabeth 1845, Anne 1849, James 1851, Jane 1854, Adah 1857, Henry John 1858.

I have a census showing too that the grandmother going back to 1700 and something. Hannah married my great grandfather Charles Weeks about 1874 in Teston Kent, so I have relatives somewhere in UK.
